Words from the NP

Rich and I had the chance to grill the NP today, she was so nice answering every question that we had.

Mary had a CT scan this morning and the results were good, can't visibly see the bleed spot anymore and the sacs filled with fluid are back to normal size.

Her heart is very strong and in good condition, which is important to push the fluids through the veins.  They also removed a couple of tubes from her which made her a happy girl!

She has some fluid in her lungs so we are all encouraging her to breathe deep and do a little more sitting up.  She has the nausea still, mostly from the swelling around the base of her brain and the neck.  Neck rubs are encouraged and greatly appreciated by Mary!

Her numbers are up a bit on the vasospasm side and they are testing every morning for changes.

She likes her red gatorade, warm socks and blankets, and neck rubs right now.  Encouraging words and hope give Mary the strength to keep pushing to both eat and sit up, both key elements in her recovery.
